Formed in 1931.
It was formed by a total of 71 artisans from both inside and outside the company, led by advisor Gonroku Matsuda (then a professor at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music).
Today, with Mr. Fumio Mae, a Living National Treasure, as a special advisor, more than 20 excellent lacquer craft technicians, who inherited the skills of Mr. Gonroku Matsuda, are engaged in the production of lacquer craft works.
