Great for keeping smaller volumes of water cooler than ambient, such as small aquariums, terrariums and viquariums.
Cool Works advertises that they "use advanced thermoelectric technology to directly convert electricity into cooling power. Its unique and patented design is based on Peltier effect, in which a current is made to flow between two conductors, removing heat at the junction. In essence, this ice probe chiller acts as a highly efficient miniature heat pump".
