Description:
Solid vinyl stair treads with a surface that is certified High Traction by the National Floor Safety Institute.  Each tread has rounded corners.  The approximate size is 8" x 24" and the thickness is 2.7 mm.
Why should I choose these vinyl stair treads over carpet stair treads?
1.
Low quality carpet stair treads tend to show wear quickly and ugly out over time.  These solid vinyl stair treads are designed for extremely heavy traffic and will not show wear for a very long time.
They will outlast any carpet tread on the market.
The material used to make these stair treads are also used for wall to wall flooring in commercial environments.

Carpet stair treads tend to become stained and are difficult to clean.  These stair treads are non-absorbent so they won't stain from regular foot traffic.  They are easy to clean.  They only need to be wiped off with a damp cloth.
You will NOT need to drag the vacuum cleaner up and down the stairs or machine wash them.

Vinyl surfaces can be tested and rated.  The surface of these vinyl stair treads has been tested by the National Floor Safety Institute and has been given the High Traction rating.  Visit the National Floor Safety Institute's website for more information regarding this non profit organization.

Coming down the stairs each step tends to blend in with the next step.  When properly placed these vinyl stair treads help to visually define each step.

.  The attached peel and stick adhesive is specially formulated for use with rubber and vinyl.  It is not your standard "carpet tape".  It is VOC free and solvent free!
Installation:
Each stair tread comes with two strips of specially designed adhesive strips.  The installation is very simple.  Press the tape firmly to the tread then carefully remove the release paper.  Then firmly apply the tread to the step.  If you need to adjust the tread simply press it firmly to the step, this will transfer the tape to the step.  Lift the tread and reposition.  The tape is intentionally designed with a low peel strength but a very high shear strength which means the tape prevents the tread from shifting.  If you want to remove the tape from the tread simply peel it off slowly.  It is possible that the adhesive could leave a residue which in most cases can be removed with a damp cloth.
