A catfish swims beneath gourds on this hand-painted pen. Yukari Royale size.
Togidashi maki-e
and
takamaki-e
techniques. Signed by Maki-e Master Artist, Seiki Chida.  Decorated black lacquer barrel and cap, the depiction of gourds and catfish refer to Japanese Zen story, 18K gold engraved nib with plated platinum Mountain Fuji. Mint condition. Never used and never inked. It comes with with Namiki fitted gourd shape lacquer box, outer card, ink bottle in gourd & catfish motif, instruction manual, certificate of authenticity and artisan autographed paper. Mail outer box is included too.
