    Allan Shepard was the second Mercury 7 astronaut to complete a suborbital flight in May, 1961 on the "Freedom 7" space capsule. He was part of the 1971 Apollo 14 moon mission. He is the oldest astronaut to walk on the moon and the only original Mercury 7 astronaut to walk on the moon. He is famous for hitting TWO GOLFBALLS on the moon.
    JOHN GLEN is the first American astronaut to orbit the earth and then became a US Senator.
