1933 Advertising Booklet for Dr. A.C. Daniels' Medicines for Horses & Cattle (Revised version.) He started the business 1878, mixing up formulas in the back of his buggy. The products worked well, so people continued to buy them. He operated out of Boston in 1904, as he added products for more animals and pets. This catalog is a 1933 revised version of the original catalog he put out in 1911. He sold the business 1914, but the new owners have continued to operate even today. The booklet is in very good condition, with only minor flaws...tears along the spine, a piece of a label stuck to the front cover, and some soiling on the back cover. The interior pages however are quite clean. Please see all of the photos above, to confirm the contents and condition of this catalog.

Very rare and fascinating "1933 Advertising Booklet for Dr. A.C. Daniels' Medicines for Horses & Cattle (Revised version.)"  Published in Boston, Mass. This booklet measures approx. 7-1/4" x 5 (15.4cm x 12.8 cm.)   52 pages including the covers.
Dr. A. C. Daniels started his business 1878, mixing up formulas in the back of his buggy. The products worked so well people wanted to keep a supply of them on hand in their barns. He operated out of Boston (in 1904 his office was located at 172-174 Milk Street and 87 Central Streets.)  As time went on he added products for sheep and poultry, as well as pets: dogs, cats, rabbits, swine, and more. He was the first to market products for household pets, such as
catnip and catnip toys.
This catalog is a 1933 revised version of the original catalog he put out in 1911.  He sold the business 1914, but the new owners have
continued to operate even today, with products are very similar to original formulas, with changes to comply with FDA regulations.
If you raise horses or cattle you'll love to read about his medicines and advice for keeping these animals healthy and productive.
The cover shows a horse shoe with a photo of a horse in the middle … the cover printed in brown.  The back cover features a lithograph illustration of a milk cow.  Dr. Daniels' face is featured throughout the booklet, as well as illustrations of his products.   Near the back is a index of all of the medicines he offered … more than 100.
This wonderful and original Advertising Booklet of Medicines for Animals  is in very good condition, with only minor flaws.   There are tears in the cover at the top and bottom of the spine.  Something (a label?) got stuck to the front cover near the horse photo.   And there is a bit of soiling on the back cover.   The interior pages however are quite clean, with only an occasional nick or small wrinkle.
